Worship

Offering ourselves as living sacrifices, we worship together to:

  1. HONOR and PRAISE God the Father,
  2. REMEMBER and CELEBRATE the work of Jesus Christ, and
  3. INVOKE and SUBMIT to the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Our opportunities to worship on Sunday morning at 9:30 and 11:00 am are designed to bring all ages, children to senior adults, into the presence of God so that all may worship Him. Use of drama, choir, praise band, singers, creative movement, children’s messages, preaching and more are used as media to invite all into worship. For an explanation of “why we worship the way we do,” please click here. Sign language interpretation is available at the 9:30 am service.

OPPORTUNITIES TO LEAD IN WORSHIP

SINGERS: If you like to praise God our Father through singing, Praise Choir may be for you. All singers in worship leadership at Main Street participate first in Praise Choir first, and then, as their commitment, skill, and desire allow, they may be asked to lead on the Praise Team. Praise Choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 pm. For more information, stop by in the choir room and see Phillip or call him at 859-474-3103. The new season begins August 26, 2009! (You do not have to know how to read music or have a great voice.)

INSTRUMENTALISTS: If you enjoy praising God through playing an instrument, Praise Band may be for you. Praise Band rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00 pm and Sunday mornings from 7:30 to 9:00 am. Praise Team singers join the praise band for their rehearsals. For more information, stop by in the sanctuary and see Phillip at rehearsal or call him at 859-474-3103.
